Vancouver, B.C. – The female presence in hip-hop is rapidly rising, and new talents emerging. Vancouver’s own DJ Miss M is one of those talents: she’s not only being showcased internationally on radio but has been nominated for several Stylus awards and is even teaches DJ classes. We wanted to sit down with the Miss so we sent our best looking writer to talk to Vancouver’s most lovely DJ about Drama, Vysion, and being a girl.
HipHopCanada: You recently became the first female member of The Drama Squad DJs based out of New York City: how did this come about?
DJ Miss M: I basically got asked by Vyzion radio to be a part of the launch which was January 1st. It was by a DJ by the name of Eric G from New York who is really good friends with the director of the drama squad as well as Pauly D. The Drama Squad were looking to increase their roster with new talent especially female DJs, they checked out my stuff and it took about three or four weeks and a few conference calls for it all to go through.

Miss M is excited to announce that she is now the NEWEST and only FEMALE member to join the DRAMA SQUAD DJ’s, based out of New York City!!
Other members include: celebrity DJ Pauly D (MTV’s Jersey Shore), DJ Detoto (Ohio) and DJ Biggie (New York).
